Starting tomorrow, petrol price will further go down by 15cents, become 2.15/litre. That is really a good news...The price of some food products and groceries might also be lower down by those hypermarkets. Heard from a friend that the price of milk powder has reduced, but i am not sure about other cause didn't really shop for groceries this few weeks. However one thing for sure, the price of the food and drink at the kopitiam seems to maintain as high as usual.

Felt so relief
Finally my dad went through the operation and things went well. He went to the operation theatre around 11am and came out at about 2.30pm. The operation was succesful and he dint felt any dizzy or nausea. Me and my mum were taking care of him until about 6pm. After a nap, he wke up at around 5pm and was able to tell us how he witness the operation at the monitor screen in the operation theatre since he was just numb for lower body. He was so brave, I dont think I would dare to see the operation of my own leg..aiks....
Anyway, thank god that the operation went smoothly and everything seem fine now. I felt so relief and shall be back to work tomorrow :)

Happy Diwali
I dont have any Indian friends, so i dont really know how the Indian friends celebrate their Deepavali. What i know is during this day all the TV programme will be Indian movie...hehe..similar to what is happening during CNY also.
Since it is off day, me and JJ went to hiking at hutan lipur, BM. Initially we were thinking to leave our house at 7.30pm but ends up delayed by 1 hour, hehe...
I still remember i brought some friends here a few months back and the purpose is to match make 2 of my friends and they had became couples now :)
After hiking, we went to eat dim sum at "DIM SUM City" in BM, wah the "Har Gao" is good, the skin can melt in the mouth but too bad the prawn is not very fresh..
JJ say we should go again next week, so for those of you who interest to go hiking and eat dim sum, lets join us next sunday :)

House warming
I just came back from attending a friend's house warming party. Her house is at Bandar Laguna Merbok, SP. Huge double storey semi-d with quite long front parking space and contemporary design. I like the renovation, simple and nice. The kitchen is very big too even though she said she seldom cook :)
Something worth to mention is that this township is the ONLY Award Wining Township in Kedah..hehe..notice a big signboard beside the road saying so :)
Here is the photo of the house owner with her cute little daughter :)

Bad New
My father met an accident yesterday. He was okay but his left leg bone was broken. He need to go through the operation to insert a special metal to support the broken bone. The metal need to be ordered and can only reached the hospital on tuesday as monday is holiday :(
Anyway, luckily he is okay as no other major injured except the broken bone. However he is still pretty sad as he may not be able to move freely for the next few months and to fully recovered, according to the doctor will need about 6 months.
He just had 2 operation this year and this will be the third time, poor dad! :( Everyone in my family were worried about him and hope he will get well soon.
We all thinking of no more motorbyte for you, Dad! We will buy you a car after you recovered...get well soon and dont worry so much! :)

Lucky Me
This morning when i start up my laptop, the famous blue screen problem appear, but instead of been sad and scolding the stupid PC, i felt so grateful and happy because i had just spend around 3 hours last night to back up my laptop hardisc...Haha, never felt so lucky before :)
My PC has been behaving unstable and "moody"..sometimes it works as usual but most of the time it hangs and getting slow. I had been thinking to do the backup for quite some time but keep on postpone. I lost the CMS (an automatic backup system) driver and cant re-install it as my DVD ROM has spoilt. But last night my six sense told me that it is the time i must do my backup, else i will regret.
True enough, this is the TIME!...hahaha...the lucky star is shining on me :)

Raining season
It keeps raining this few days in Penang. The sky started to get dark as early as 6pm, made me felt like working hour has been shorten. However this is not a good news to me because I got many works waiting to be completed to meet the dateline :(
Anyway, i saw the new this evening that there is big wave from the sea hitting the pantai bersih beach but luckily there was no injury reported. There has a few restaurants near to the beach and seem like they were badly hit and impacted. One of the famous restaurant that me and my family use to go to is called 323. This restaurant gave us a good sunset view while enjoying our dinner. BUT...after hearing the news, it make me think twice whether to visit the restaurant again as it seems to be dangerous :)

It's snowing....:)
Today when i was on my way back from work, it rains quite heavily, so as usual the Penang bridge is jam. Since i got nothing to do, i will normally call friends to chit chat, or play the "Big 2 hero" (Cor Tai Di) using my handphone.
But today i try to do something different where i took some photo around me. See the photo on the left, doesn't it looks like snowing? Haha, or maybe because i am too excited on the year end Japan skiing trip until I have gotten this imagination? :)
Anyhow, it did make me felt happy even though I was stucked in the jam and to me, this is very important as i dont want to feel frustrated on the jam almost everyday :)

Finally...I make it!
I have went through so many challenges and roadblock only to install Agilent IO suite in my laptop....and finally i had successfully did that.
It all started due to my CD-Rom drive has spoilt, so i try to get an external CD-ROM driver. But i found out that the external CD-ROM driver's connector is a special USB port where there is an extra pin for the power which my laptop doesnt have. However, i thought i was lucky as my docking station can support this type of connector. So i happily plug in and press the on button, wait for a while but nothing come out :( Then i ask my colleague to use his docking station, try it and haha...it works. BUt...when i put in the installation CD, my laptop cannot detect it...(what a lousy laptop...is time to change d..)
So how?? No choice lor, i got to download it from Agilent Website but it will take long long time..Since there is no other choice, I have to do so....after a while of downloading, the window thing suddenly closed down and i have to reinstall :( What a bad luck!
Finally, after maybe an hour or so, it has successfully been installed. BUt....then..when i start the application and try to communicate to my instrument, the laptop hang up..Not Again! :(
However, after gone through all this hassle, I finally get the thing up around 6.45pm...bravo, can go to gym liau :)
Even though it is a simple setup but i felt so happy that finally it works...sometimes working with machine can be more fun and satisfied then working with people :)

Home cooked Hokkien Mee..
Well, don't be surprised, the home-cooked Hokkien Mee wasn't cook by me of course, but was cooked by my sister-in-law. It was really delicious and we can add small prawn, "char siou", kangkong, eggs and crispy fried onion, whatever we like and how many we like...hahaha...so yummy! But tomorrow i got to go gym and work-out a little bit more, else the fat and cholesterol will stay in my body :(
It is sad that delicious food are always not so healthy, but we can't resist those good food isn't it? So, it leave us no choice but to exercise more and keep a balance diet, like for example, put more Kangkong and bean sprout while eating Hokkien Mee :)
That day a friend who was a foodtech and worked in a food processing company before told me that the Luncheon meat uses the lowest quality meat to process it and they add in a lot of coloring and flavoring to make it delicious....I like luncheon meat very much but of course i dont always eat it, now after hearing what she said, maybe i should totally ban it. Also she advise me to eat less fish ball because in the processing of fish ball, the supplier add a type of chemical that use to melt the fish bone so that it can mixed well with the fish meat...and of course again, those fish are bad quality fish that can't sell in the fresh markets.

Penang Police Learn Hokkien??
Wah, i felt so happy and excited after reading through this new. Kudos to Penang chief police officer who had made such an innovative and brave move to let his new police force learn Hokkien in 9 months time. I think this is a good move as it show the police's sincerity and determination to help improve local safety by improving the communication with local people.

Rainbow after the rain..
While i was walking to get my car at the office's car park, i saw a big rainbow across the sky. Out of the suddenly my mood swing from feeling tired to excited and happy. I felt like i was filled with hopes and motivation. Dunno why but i just like the rainbow. Maybe because to me, it symbolize that all the difficulty time will pass and the light of hope will come at the end.
Happy or sad is just a thought in your mind. We can be happy if we tell our mind that we want to..... and vice versa :)

Same rice, different people
There is this famous Hokkien proverb that i always treasure : 一样的米养白样的人(direct translation will mean something like the same rice people eat but it grow hundred different kind of characters). It is so true isn't it?
Some people are very helpful and caring, understanding, patient, fun to be with, faithful, and so on. However there are also another group of people where you dont find "click" with them or you find them very "interesting" like those who are selfish, always like to bullshit something good about himself, pretending, like to complain other and thought that he/she is the best person in the world, no tolerance (for example people can't talk loud or laugh in the office....), like to tell lies, become another person when start pat tor :)....so on and so forth..
Dont get me wrong, I am not saying that which group are good and which are not, just that 物以类聚,人以群分。 Well, my philoshophy is, if i meet those friend that can "click" together, it is a gift and i will apreciate it very much, but if i meet those that are not the same channel....er..why should i even think about it? :)

Drop...drop..drop..good!
Today, Pak lah anounce that the petrol price will drop 15cents to RM2.3/little. The Ron 92 different by 10 cents. A good new so far after the economic crash...
One interesting note though about the Ron 92 petrol. Not sure if you guy aware or not....so far i only see Essos, mobile offer this type of petrol and last time i use to pump my car with it. But no long ago, when found out that the nozer doesn't fit my car petrol hole anymore, it is slidely bigger in size...I am not sure if this is a unique case or other mobile petrol station also the same....Do you have any idea? Pls share with me :)

Don't keep things unused for long time...
Last weekend when I was cleaning my house, I saw some fungus (like the mushroom) grew at the broken broom. I dont understand how come fungus can grow in the indoor.

This incident has remind me of a fren's story. She bought a new blouse 1 year ago but due to pregnancy, she keep that blouse in her wardrobe, thinking that she can wear it only after delivered. Recently she has a chance to wear it and thus she search for that blouse. However, to her surprise, the blouse suddenly tear off when she just lightly open it out. Hweh...what a sad case. So the moral of the story is, dont save the new dress for future, wear it whenever you feel like it.
Not only dress, but i think knowledge is also the same. Share with other what you have learn, dont be selfish and keep it to yourself. It might get dusty if you forogot to use it or to share with others....... :)

My 4th free gift...
It was amazing that after 12 days of my birthday, i still receiving free gift. This time is from Penang Mega Lane as i am one of the members there. It is a set of nail toolkit. Although the quality is not as good but i think it is very handy when travel. Anyway, since it is free, i like it also :)
I had finally received the handmade birhtday card from my best friend. It has travelled a few thousand miles to reach me. The card is simple but sweet and nice, (the one ate the front in the photo)thanks fren! That is very thoughtful of you :)Also in photo are some of other birthday cards that i received from Adventist hospital, my agents and megalane bowling.
The only one i felt that i should recieve gift or card from which i didn't is the CIMB credit card center. I have been a royal card holder for >8 years but i dont recall i received any special treatment at all. Looks like it's time for me to switch! :)

A nice gift from HSBC
I got a HSBC credit card and due to my birthday, they sent me a voucher whereby i can claim free cup of coffee and a piece of cake from starbucks. I guees so far this is the best "free" gift i get for my birthday. Other "free" gift was either not really free or I dont like it that much. I ate the blueberry cheese cake and it was good.
Me and my friend also "ta pao" the big apple donut to have it together with the starbuck coffee. Guest what, it was my first time eating it and i love it so much. The donut testure is so soft but yet the outer layer is so crispy. Their have many flavour and we tried the peanut, cocklat, mango, green tea,
white cocklat with nut and
even the durian flavour. All taste good but my favorite is cocklat, peanut and durian...
(Haha...forgot to take photo before we ate the donut, about finishing only suddenly recall :))

The economy downturn is started to impact us..
The hit is coming...No increment for this year..This is the second step taken after the travelling and hiring freeze last 2 months.
Although I had been expecting the economy will impact us soon, but when it really come i still feel worry and dont know how to plan for my personal financial :(
I have a feeling that this round of economy down turn will be worse than the one in 1997 and with longer periods.
So, advise for fren fren sekalian, save your money in cash, try not to take new loan, plan your financial carefully...
The worst is yet to come..

Home alone..
I wasn't feeling well this morning and sleep till 11am. Thus i just work from home in the afternoon. Dunno why i just felt so so tired and just want to sleep. Yesterday was already feeling very sleepy and i thought it might due to sleep late the day before.
JJ is at shanghai now, so i am home alone this week and next week...sien :(
Some people enjoy staying at home doing the things that they like or even doing nothing, but I'm definetly not that type fo person. When i am home alone, i will feel very boring and upset.
I am counting down...9 more days :)

In my memory, i think Pak Lah is the first to step down due to noises from the party. Well, my question is, will his successor be a better PM?

"Commercialized" Bitrhday Card
Ever year, I receive quite a numbers of birthday cards. Most of them I categorized it as "Commercialized" birthday cards. Don't get what i mean? Give you an examples, i bought jewelry before at 2 shops and are the member of those shops. (of course the membership is free else i wont be joining :)) So both of them sent me the birthday card+ some voucher together. Those voucher consist of one mystery gift and some discount coupon when you do the purchase.
This year, one of the shop gave the crystal pendant, BUT, the pendant is without the hook. Well, looks like there is nothing completely free in this world or maybe i should say in Malaysia....
Since it looks quite nice, so i paid RM30 for the white gold hook. (gold hook is only RM20)...This is really effective marketing strategy, don't you think so?

Another card I received which astonished me is from the Adventist wellness center. The card was came with a free vision check up coupon. I just been there once for health screening in year 2006. I was surprised to see that hospital nowadays also doing a lots of marketing campaign. Or maybe all this while they are doing so is just that i was not aware? Anyway got competition then only got improvement__有竞争才会有进步__

My first boot..
I never have a boot before and today i bought 2 at one times. Haha, that's because i had been searching for many shops and cant find a suitable and comfortable one. These 2 boots that i had bought was for my Japan trip this coming Dec. I bought it at a shop call Bright2 in Queensbaymall. One is black colour and the other is beige colour with flat bottom. I like both of them and cant decide which one to buy so bought 2 lor, easier, no need to think :)
Actually it is quite cheap compare to some other that i had seen before. I spent RM184 for 2 pairs, maybe because it is not completely leather, it is mix leather with some other material. However those 100% leather one, the bottom of the shoes is normally very hard and not comfortable, somemore it is more than 2 inch high, so it is not suitable for long distance walk.
I got many other stuff to buy before going to Japan for skiing, hmm...pokai liau...

New shopping mall-the store pacific in Komtar...
It has been a few days i didn't read the news online. So today i purposely online to read some news and wanna find out if there is any news from PKR, especially from Anwar, but i was dissapointed :(
Rather, i found an interesting new about The Store will open a branch at Komtar before Christmas. This could be the first step to achieve Lim's vision to rebuilt Komtar's glory. Good job again CM Lim! Also i felt great when he say out loud that "Penang Govt is a Govt that do not accept bribe, thus businessman don't need to pay extra "kopi lui" in order to do business...Haha, U are the MAN, chief! Do keep your words and don't disappointed Penanges! :)
槟州政府是个不接受贿赂的政府,前来做生意的商家们可以在不需要缴付额外的“咖啡钱”情况下做生意。因此,任何有兴趣的商家,可直接联络槟州政府。”- Quote from CM Lim~

Jalan-jalan Cari makan...one day trip
Since it was holiday and we have nothing much to do at home, me and JJ decided to go for a day trip to Ipoh cum Ayer Tawar. We started our journey around 8.30am heading to Ipoh for the famous 大树脚 (direct translation will be big tree leg) Yong Tau Fu. It was situated at Jalan prince. See the photo on the left. His home made fish fillet was excellent and other also good.
After that, we went to the original coffee shop of the white coffee at the old town. We used to drink the coffee at the Sun Yuan Fong, so this time we decided to go back to the same kopitiam. The white coffee is really really good lar, dunno why it was so different from the one i use to have in old town kopitiam, the franchise one. The taste of coffee is so strong...i dunno how to describe but it is ichiban lar :)
Then we went down further to Ayer Tawar where YW's home
town is for the famous red wine chicken noodles (红酒面线鸡)。
The taste is very special, something i haven't try before. It doesn't have any alcohol taste, but a bit sweet. Another favourite dish of mine is the fish maw cooked in the spicy and sour style, taste very good too :) (Thanks YW and KC for the good lunch!)After all the good food, we headed to lumut for a walk,
taking some photo and do some shopping for the local products to bring back home. It was quite a long journey and tiring drive but I guess it was worth for all the good food and good memory :)

A wonderful birthday for me!
Today is my birthday, dont ask me how old I am, as long as i am young in heart :)My husband bring me for a night stay at Shangri-La Batu Ferringgi yesterday. Although it was raining almost the whole day but we were lucky as it stop around 4.30pm and we managed to go down to the pool for an hour's swim. Prior to that we were playing ping pong at the pool side.
We went to the ferringgi grill restaurant to have our dinner. It was a nice restaurant with romantic environment. Being a meat lover, i ordered a all time favourite steak and JJ ordered a lamb cutlet. Both was
also fantastic! It had never tried such a delicious steak in
Malaysia before and it was as good as those i tried before
in NZ or US. So soft and tender...really, if you are steak lover like me, you MUST try although it is not cheap but once a while, okay lar :)
in NZ or US. So soft and tender...really, if you are steak lover like me, you MUST try although it is not cheap but once a while, okay lar :)I had been to victoria station, 32 mansion, Bagan, Deluxcious and so on for steak but none of them can beat this Ferinngi grill steak. I bet you will agree with me after you try yourself :)
And very interesting is that they cook the whole big piece of meat first then only the waiter cut it into slices in front of you. Same goes to the dessert. I ordered a Crepe Feringgi. The waiter pushed the whole trolley and come to our desk to cook it for us. He start with putting some butter i guess, then put in some alcohol and light it up...after that he
put in some mango source then other ingredient. It taste special and great too! I was different from the Crepe that i eaten before in Europe...

After the dinner the captain invite us to the bar next to the restaurant as there was a live band performing. So we walk over to enjoye the song by three singeres.
