Kids Love Dancing and Perfoming

Last Sunday we had our dinner at Sunway Carnival Mall and my daughter spend about an hour's time "performing" her dancing skill and taking photo around the stage area.
I guess not only her, but most of the kids nowadays like to dance and sing openly in the public and they are not shy like we use to be. If you watch the video below, the 2 years old gal beside her can really twist her butt nicely and they seem to enjoy it so much!
It's kind of entertaining to watch them dancing so happily :)

Kids like dancing?

Recently we have a new entertainment. Guess what is it? It's the dance performance from our little girl. I don't know where she learn all those funny steps from, maybe it's from TV that she might not be able to followed it correctly. Anyway, it was really funny and it looks like practicing taichi to me...haha..see the video below and you will know what i mean...

Also when I show her the many different dances from the Youtube and asked if she would likes to learn one of those, she seems to be attracted to only the cheer leading. I wonder where she can learn cheer leading in Penang though, any idea, mothers?

What Kids of 4 years old love to do?

Whoa..It's been so long since i last wrote my blog. Geez..am i became so lazy, or was it because nothing to write? Anyway my interest to fill my blog is coming back and so will start with some interesting story about my daughter.
She's growing up well and starts to show interest in many sports and outdoor activities as well. A very obvious change recently (she is 4 years old this year) is that whenever she played in playground nowadays, she'll choose more challenging one compare to just slide or seesaw. She will try out the monkey bar although she was not able to climb it by her own but rather clinging on her dad and just move her hand. I guess she inherit it from you, liking all outdoor stuff but i bet she will be even more aggressive than me in future when she grew up. :)

Many asked me if i am going to sent her for piano class but it seems to me that she's not the type who can sit still for .5hour playing the piano. Rather, i asked if she wanted to go for dancing class. I shown her some dance video from the youtube and guess what her interest is? Among all those clip I shown her, she was so excited with the cheer-leading clip. Immediately after seeing it she wanted to have a try and asked us to hold her up high with our hand...I guess a person's characters can be noticed since very young, isn't it? This has lead me to think about what was my own interest during young time..which i might have forgotten due to the overwhelm of life....

Day trip to taiping Zoo and Lake

Why going Taiping Zoo again? Many asked me this question when i told them I'm going to bring my daughter to the Zoo. Well, that's because she likes to watch the Barney Zoo and always seems to be interested in the elephant and Giraffe. Anyway, it turns out to be a very educational and fun experienced that we enjoyed it so much although it was damn hot and exhausted. Side track a bit,  I prepared the kimbap (korean sushi) for our trip and it was not bad for the first timer making it :)

When we reached at the zoo, it was already about 10am but surprisingly it was not many people maybe because it was the first day of Hari Raya and people are busy visiting each other? :) So we take the Zoo's tram and have a good one round quick look a the whole zoo area and know where is the elephant and giraffe located. After the fun tram, we set to see the elephant and then the giraffe. Don't know why my girl loves giraffe so much that she spent most of the time playing around at the giraffe and zebra area. There is one giraffe who likes people so much that everyone passed it will feed her with leaves, so do my girl.
One new thing I discover is that the zoo has got many baby kangaroo too which I didn't notice last time I came. Many it was just newly "Imported" from Australia :)

One thing I dislike about the Taiping Zoo was the tram that run in the same track as walking path, so we have to always watch out for the kids to avoid the tram and it's really disturbing....

My first Piano Lesson

Many responded with surprised when I told them I wanted to learn piano. Most of them asked me why at this age, some said it is difficult at this age, but some also encourage me to do so. I used to have a dream that I can play piano since young. However since my family cannot afford me it during my childhood, i decided to take the lesson now. Although it's hard to learn piano at the age of >30 but i thought no harm having a try. With lots of encouragement from a friend, I finally make up my mind and move out the first step by registered for a piano class. Last saturday was my first piano lesson and I couldn't tell how much i enjoyed it! I admit it wasn't easy but I believed through persistance and passion, I can soon play the piano :)
This is the result of my first lesson :)

Fun Intel Family Day

We had a wonderful Sat morning attending the Intel's family day at Baggenstos Farm, Sherwood. There was many events and activities available, such as pumpkin bowling, little Hay Maze, Corn Maze, free Hay ride and so on. But the most enjoyable played for my daughter that day was still the slides. :)
We were lucky that it was a sunny day. It has been raining for a week's time. We started with taking some photos around, then my daughter played at the hay house, the pumpkins bowl and the slides of course. Break for a BBQ lunch prepared by Intel and then continue with the hay ride to the field which filled with pumpkins for sales. We really have a great time especially my daughter enjoyed it so much. Intel is really a great place to work for and i thank them for organizing it :) oh, and btw, i was stung by a bee, luckily it was no big deal. Was worried that it might be poisoning but had confirmed with the stuff there it was not. The bees here are like the flies back in malaysia, they come to you whenever they saw food.
Spotted where am I?

Oh, I'm lost in the Hay Maze...

My favorite play of the day!

Amazing invitation from Intel

Amazing, amazing!!! I'm stunned reading the dinner invitation from intel. It's the letter from Intel Ronler Acres Campus to its neighbors inviting all of us to join a dinner and update meeting on 27th Sept. As the biggest employer in Oregon, I think they really put in lots of effort engaging with the community. It's likes they want everyone in Hillsboro be proud of Intel and be part of Intel's growth, how nice! Oh, btw, the new building's car park is almost done. It's just in front of my apartment, and you know what, everytime we passed through it, especially at night where all the lamp post was lighten up, we like to brag about it...Ït's really unbelievable huge!" "Are there going to be busses to fetch the employee from the parking place? "They can do a fun fair there, or have event like sat farmer market"....

Kai Shuen 2nd Birthday

Kai Shuen is turning two this Sunday. Hence we have a little celebration for her at her day care center today. It was a pretty short one but i guess everyone did have a good time. We gave the M&M, Kit Kat and the animal balloons that we made ourselves to those kids in her class and I can see a smiling faces in them. Too bad we are not allowed to lit the candle due to safety issue. Although she has no chances to blow a candle today, we'll let her try on Sunday :) Anyway, we have a wonderfull time and it was her first party in US :)

Discover my new talent

I was shopping for Kai Shuen's birthday party's stuff and found this balloon kit in Fred Meyer store. I never try to make a animal balloon before but was thinking it would be interesting to get one and try it out, and the kids in the day care center would love it!
So after a few experiment with refering to the instruction sheet, i managed to built my first dog ballon, see below picture...Not bad isn't it?

And the more I made, the easier it was for me.. Here you go, we got Giraffe, swords and flowers joining the doggie...hahaha...I never knew I was so talented making the animals balloon. Maybe I can start earning some partime money doing that...:)

Investment in Gold

Recently I was introduced by a friend to invest in gold. There are several bank offering this service but i just monitor the price for 3 bank, namely CIMB, Public Bank and Maybank because these are the banks that i have saving account with.
From the 7 days i monitored, it seems like CIMB offer lowest rate (look at the column, delta). However, only Public bank has the online purchase/selling infrastructure which make things easier. There might be price changed in the afternoon, but in my table below, i just captured the daily morning price.

p/s: This is just for sharing, for more information, pls ask your bank :)

Tian Gong Dan 天公誕

We celebrate Jade Emperor's birthday on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year. This event is consider one of the biggest among Hokkien people. I managed to capture some nice photo of one of the famous chinese temple in penang - the Nine King Emperor Temple during that day. People will normally prepared chicken, duck, rosted pork, fruits, different types of kuih, tea, joystick for chinese prayer, golden paper and the most important thing is the sugar cane. I did asked why sugar cane, and the answer i get was - It is sweet, so after the Jade Emperor eaten it, he will tends to say nice thing about your family :-)
And the very fun part of the whole celebration is the free fireworks show that we can enjoy. Most of the "rich" people will play the fireworks or/and firecrackers during the prayers and the "poor" get the chance to see  :)

After 4 months..

It has been around 4 months after i quit my job, time really flies. It is time to review what i had done in this 4 motnhs...

Secondly, I enjoyed time spending with my mother, bringing her around and have more time talking and listen to her..

Thirdly, I had learn up the basic of forex trading, read 2 or 3 books on forex and now continue to apply my knowledge in the demo account.

4th, I had read 2 books regarding to early childhood development and i have a better view of how to becomea good parent (not that i sure can but i will try my best :))

and finally, i had brought Kai Shuen for 2 long trip, one in Muar and the other is the recent Genting trip :)

Guess i have achieve a lot too in this 4 months time and i really happy with it, though sometime a bit boring cause no friends to talk to :)

Hoping for dream come true...

I guess poeple have many many dream in their life, this include me...I was thinking back, and found that i had actually achieve many of my dreams too and i always feel grateful for that. It is not only the hard work that make you achieve ur dream but sometimes also due to luck. Without luck, one really hard to achieve what he or she wants. Currently i have another dream. Rather than pray for good luck, i dont think i can do anything more to get it. I wish to continue having a good luck in my life and i hope so to all my good friend too :)

World Cup finally ended

1 month is so fast, the world cup as ended. During that period, i guess 90% of the guys are watching football, maybe 50% of the gal in the world are watching. This is only my gut feel statistic lar, maynot be true...Anyway, i just curios, why football is such a game that most of the guys will crazy about it and watching it? Is it because of the bet only? I dont think so..but if it is not, then why? why? Although i am not super football fence but i got watch also lar...hehe..
I watch because i like to see the team work of the player and their technique of passing the ball..like Messi...hehee..He can pass thru 2 or 3 defender sometimes, which is not a easy thing to do. Other than the skill, what else is so attractive about football?? I really dont understand why i can became such a famous game...

Never in my mind before

Do you ever imagine yourself wearing a short pant with T-shirt, no make-up, pulling a shopping basket, buying vegetables and grocery? I never imagine myself being such an aunty before in my life and guess what, today i had did so...hahahaha...never been so aunty before,really..... I am the type of person who doesnt like to go morning market because i feel it is very smelly. of course i still didnt go market nowadays but just shop in econsave.

Well, guess what, i do enjoyed it. Compare to the tuff meetings to attend to, all those quarel and disagreement, shopping for vege and do cooking seem to be more fun to me. Haha, guess i am old d, or maybe now that i have kid, family is more important than work for me. I think many of us especially ladies will switch their focus after having kids, you might have agreed with me :)
It is not a bad things, we should do what we wanted to in life. If this is your choice, go for it, why doubt!
Having said that, it doesnt mean that i will do nothing for my career, i am more eager to built up my career so that i can continue to enjoy the flexi-time and hence spent more time with my family...

Doesnt sounds like me? Well, people changed :)

Follow ur heart...

Sometimes we do thing follow other or what other told us, seldom we do follow our heart. Not sure about you but i use to be like that. Now i want a change. A change that will follow my heart. Do what i think i should or want to do. No matter the decision is right or wrong, at least it is mine decision and i wont feel regreted in future.

Life is short, live the moment and do what we think we should :)
