Feeling totally lost when the service down
Yesterday around 4pm, my connection to internet was suddenly down. I try to troubleshoot and found that it was not due to my router but rather there in on incoming signal. As I can't online, was thinking to watch TV. Only that i found out the TV programme is also down. OMG, the whoole service from COMCAST is not availabe, and that include the phone line. This is one of the cons of having all your servies under one service provider. Once it is down, you are basically shut off. And I was left puzzling what to do for an hour or so until my daugther awake from her nap :) Then i realised how much I was relying on the modern infrastructure to run my daily live :(

Finally bought the vacuum cleaner
Finally, after 2 months, I can't stand already and went to get the vacuum cleaner at Walmart. Soon after I got it, unpacked, fixed the handle and tried it out on my living room's carpet. Below photo you can see that the machine is full of dirt half way through my cleaning. Feeling so clean after vacuum the whole house, no more hair and dirt :) And btw, this model that i bought, Bissell easyvac is lightweight, powerful and cheap too, only USD39.96, value for money :)

How many kids do you want to have?
Yesterday, as usual, I brought Kai Shuen to the playground near Intel while waiting to fetch her father from work. My focus was been drawn to mother who's carrying a baby of roughly 5months old in front of her chest not because the baby was cute (but of course he is cute too), but because she was calling another three kids of hers. The oldest girl i think is about 6years old, the second girl is maybe 4years old, and the 3rd boy is probably only 2.5 or 3 years old. I was amazed! She must be a very capable mother. I would never thought that I can bring 4 kids to the playground on my own, one is already not easy to take care. Most of my friends, including me only plan to have 2 children the most, some even hesitate to have their 2nd one. We were so afraid of taking care of the kids. Futhermore we will lost our freedom to do many things. What surprises me more is that many of the family in US actually having 3 or 4 kids, unlike Chinese in Malaysia who have an average of 2 kids per family.

Discover my new talent
I was shopping for Kai Shuen's birthday party's stuff and found this balloon kit in Fred Meyer store. I never try to make a animal balloon before but was thinking it would be interesting to get one and try it out, and the kids in the day care center would love it!
So after a few experiment with refering to the instruction sheet, i managed to built my first dog ballon, see below picture...Not bad isn't it?
And the more I made, the easier it was for me.. Here you go, we got Giraffe, swords and flowers joining the doggie...hahaha...I never knew I was so talented making the animals balloon. Maybe I can start earning some partime money doing that...:)

Finding the day care for my daughter
These week, i brought kai shuen to visit 2 day care centers nearby. One is call the "learning year"and the other is the Kindercare. We finally sign up with the kindercare as it as a 10% discount for Intel employee :)
Not only that but the learning year doesnt have the half day program for toddler below 3 years old which I intend to sent my daughter only for the half day. First visit to the Kindercare, Kai Shuen seems to be like it especially she loves to mix around with other kids, exploring the stuff in the class. She was playing fine while I was talking to the principal until when I tried to step outside of the classroom, she starts crying for me. Well, i guess is not easy and it need times, but hopefully she can handle it after a few days when I start sending her to the day care. We had our 2nd visit to the Kindercare together with my husband yesterday. This time she was happily playing with a big sister at the play ground and totally ignored us, whcih is a good sign! I think she prefer playing with those bigger kids rather than mising around with the kids at similar age. Anyway, next week i am allowed to sent her to the day care 1 or 2 days for few hours so that she can get familiar with the environement before officially sending her to the day care at 29th August. I really hope she will like it and gain a different experiences of her own :)

Getting settle down
After the scared and tiring flight, we finally reached the our house in Hillsboro. We dont really like it because it kind of looks old style and the lighting is terrible, all yellowish light, plus it is really empty. Dont even have a trash bin or the shower curtain, or the floor mats. Everthing has to be bought one by one. So the first 2 days were kind of crazy shopping for us, looking for all the basic stuff to setup our house, plus change the light to the white light :) Here are some of the photos of the house...but anyway, after changing to the white light and setting up all the necessary basic stuff, feeling like a home now, at least it's good for 6 months :-)

Bad thing happen when it seems to be all perfect
Recently i just told me friend that i felt scared and he asked me why i thought so since I was surrounded by all good blessing. I told him that is the reason I scared because I believe that when all things seems to be good and perfect, there might be some bad thing is going to happen (a strange theory of my own). True enough it happen to me last monday. I started to get high fever, vomit and later diarrhea. It was a really bad one and after 5 days where i thought i was getting well soon, a more serious problem I had discover. I was diagnosed of DENGUE. Admitted hospital on Sat morning and my platelet count was 113. Today blood test result shown it further drops to 100,oh, my godness. But i was feeling ok, no joint paint, no fever now and just like a normal person. The bad part of all this was, i am gonna missed my flight to US on monday evening, but what to do? We can only plan for the best but God will determines the steps. I trust that everything happen for its own reason and i will just continue to be grateful for what I have and what i dont. Cheer!!! :-)

It's nothing personal
Recently i listen to radio station everyday while i commute to work. There is this interesting topic by the DJ - When people said it's nothing personal, do you think it is really so? Most of the call-in folks disagreed with it. They think that when people said that, there is really some personal matter involved. I too have the same opinion. If you don't think it is personal at the first place, why would you ever said something like "don't get me wrong ya, there is nothing personal". So next time if you feel like saying it out, hold it back and don't use it to cover your ass. Also man are functioning in the opposite way most of the time. Example when i ask my kid dont touch, she will go and touch it; when i say this thing cant be eaten, she will quickly put it into her mouth; get what I mean?

Great grandparent house to be demolished
The old house of my great grandparent, located in Bagan Ajam, is going to be demolished soon after surviving for over 60 years. I were not born there but my elder brother and sister were. Although I never stayed there before but I used to go there quite often whenever there was prayer for our ancestors. It has become the sole place for our relatives to gather in such occasion. It is currently stayed by my uncle's family. So sad that they have to move out from this big house with spacious garden to a small flat. I am going to miss the house and most importantly those wonderful moment that we have spend together.

Autumn in Penang?
The view of yellowish flowers falling down, covered up the floor in front of my mother's house reminds me of the autumn at New Jersey. I like autumn very much mainly because of the flowers turning into yellow and it fall off when blown by the wind. It just simply created the romantic atmosphere. I can't wait to experinece the fall again in my next trip to US :-)

Do you like making important decision?
In life we may come across many scenario that needed us to make a tuff decision. Most of the time whether decision A or B you choose, you may not get 100% of what you one. I believe one may gain something and loss another thing no matter what decision we had made. I hate making important decision, but in real life, this are something we couldn't avoid, isn't it?
Recently there is an incident that needed my decision. It make me went through many sleepless night. I even use a silly method to help me making the decision - tossing a coin. :) But the funny thing is, I kind of feeling sad with the result and this had enlighten me that I should have follow my heart. I feel sad of the decision A resulting from the toss, this mean I prefer decision B, right? So thanks to the coin tossing method, i had make up my mind what should I do :)

Chap Goh Mei
Last Thursday was the end of the Chinese New Year - The Chap Goh Mei (meaning the 15th days of the CNY). There are some celebrating in many places and one of them are in the 9 kings temples. I brought my gal to the events. It is drizzling initally but luckily after a while, the rain stopped. I thought she would be enjoying the songs and dance by the performance since she like to dance whenever she hear music. To my surprise, she don't seems to like it at all. Instead, she keeps staring at the aunty standing beside us and try to pull her dress. oh my godness, why is she like that? Also she won't let her father carry her. My hand was tired carrying her for hald an hour and finally at the third perfomance, we decided to go home. It was around 9pm when we leave. When she was at the car, she is happily sucking her pacifier and grab on her favorite pillow. I guess it is time for bed and she just want to go home... :)

Getting Prepared for Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is a week's time from now. I am getting so excited and ready for it. I have prepared some cookies to share with friends and relative who may visit me during Chinese New Year. This year is the year of rabbit, thus I have put on some red decorative that has a rabbit on it. Most of my neighbourhoods are chinese, and many of them hang the lighting at their balcony, so do us. My husband tooks about 2 hours time to successfully hang it up. It seems easy but wait till you try it yourself, then you will know. :)
I am really looking forward to it - to have family gathering, friends gathering and lots of good food ^-^

Journey to become a profitable trader
My journey to become a profitable trader started since May when i tender my resignation. I started by reading forex trading books and website. Found so passionate reading about those information until i wasn't able to sleep at night because my mind keep thinking about it. Then, i open the demo account and try to trade it without much knowledge. Sometime i earn and sometime i lost. The time when i earn, i was so excited and happy but when the time i loss, i feel less motivated and keep asking myself, can trading be profitable???
I guess this are the emotional changes that everyone will go through in their journey to become a profitable trader. I guess some might drop off half way but some who are persistance and determined will success. I told myself i wont quit! IF there are so many successful traders out there, i am sure i can be one of them. Of course it will not be easy but it is not impossible.
Hardwork and determination are the keys to success. I trust that whatever i do by putting my whole heart into it, I will be success, is just a matter of time. Yes, i must be patient, the time will come if i do not quit.....

Feelings...
Recently i was actively shared with friends some investment opportunity. I receive an interesting comment from a friend. He say, if what you say is really true, then it is really too good to be true!
I think we all are being trainned that money can only be earned through a hard way. This message had been embeeded into our CPU since young. Those are hardcoded information and difficult to be changed. But i think the world we live in now has been changing, if we dont follow the trend, we will be loosing out no matter how intelligence we are.
Eg, our parent generation dont trust insurance, but our generation, who dont own an insurance policy? We used to say MLM cannot work, but we still see so many MLM company growing stronger and stronger and so many poeple success in MLM business.
I respect those elderly who take the effect to learn internet and computer, this shown that they want to keep up with the trend. Luckily i have a facebook account and blog too. Hehe...so that i dont feel so "OUT" :)
Time and tide wait for no Man!

Really Beh Tahan..
Today i was so geram after reading a new. You may come across this type of persons. Their favorite sentence is: "Ïf I were the XXX, I will do this and that.." This type of person u may find it a lot as the politician, as well as fren around us.
What make we felt most geram is, after reading the news, "someone" said, If i were still the PM, I will make the F. gambling legal...Many people can say like that, but he shouldnt because he has the authority to do so during his time but he dint. Then now talk like that for what? Dont just talk big when u already cant do anything, talk and do the right thing when you have the authority...pls...
Not that i support football gambling, but just dont like people to be so fake....
