What I want in life

Time flies...It's been one and a half year since i stop working. Many things has happen during this period. Can't forget the exciting experience of traveled to Switzerland/Austria and Melbourne, having baby made in Switzerland, enrolled for Master course in USM, so on and so forth....

During these times, I reflect a lot on what I want in my life. I used to thought that happiness is the most important thing in life to chase after and i still do. However how to keep feeling happy in life is a big challenge. In life, we sure have ups and downs. When we are happy, we must be grateful and when we are downs, we must always think that it'll gone through fast. That's how we learn to be happy.

Now that I'm expecting, my focus is on taking good care of the little one as well as myself and also my daughter. This is my short-term goal per se. Well, I'm kind of person who cant really think of the long term goal after all.

Lastly, I prayed for a smooth delivering and an exciting life ahead!

Looking forward to new member in the family

Yesterday I told my daughter, Kai Shuen that I'm going to see doctor for checkup and that her grandpa will fetch her back from school. She suddenly feel so excited and said to me "yeah mommy, are you going to operate and take out the baby from your stomach today?" Hahaha...she seems desperately want to meet and play with her sibling as soon as possible. I have to disappoint her by asking her patient to wait for another 6 months time. I'm glad that she is much more looking forward to the new member in our family than both me and her dad. She started to plan for many thing, eg. she want the baby to sleep together on her hello kitty bed, she wanted to feed the baby, she ask her grandma to help take care of the baby while she is away to school, she want to bring the baby together to the theme park and wave to the baby while she sit on the roller-coaster...all short of fun activities coming into her mind, sending us the signal that she's really excited about the new baby.

I was also feeling great yesterday after seeing the ultrasound scanning. The baby is moving actively and we can see the nose, hand, leg clearly; unlike my first baby where the doctor was using "not so advance" ultrasound machine which can't see the baby clearly.

I guess it is normal to have different feeling, experience and story on each and every pregnancy. This time round, I only have appetite on spicy and sour food. Not so much craving for durian, which is a lucky thing, as durian can casue high sugar level in the blood. Anyway, every pregnancy is a joy, anxious but unforgettable experience and I'm ready to embark on the journey once again! :)

Day trip to taiping Zoo and Lake

Why going Taiping Zoo again? Many asked me this question when i told them I'm going to bring my daughter to the Zoo. Well, that's because she likes to watch the Barney Zoo and always seems to be interested in the elephant and Giraffe. Anyway, it turns out to be a very educational and fun experienced that we enjoyed it so much although it was damn hot and exhausted. Side track a bit,  I prepared the kimbap (korean sushi) for our trip and it was not bad for the first timer making it :)

When we reached at the zoo, it was already about 10am but surprisingly it was not many people maybe because it was the first day of Hari Raya and people are busy visiting each other? :) So we take the Zoo's tram and have a good one round quick look a the whole zoo area and know where is the elephant and giraffe located. After the fun tram, we set to see the elephant and then the giraffe. Don't know why my girl loves giraffe so much that she spent most of the time playing around at the giraffe and zebra area. There is one giraffe who likes people so much that everyone passed it will feed her with leaves, so do my girl.
One new thing I discover is that the zoo has got many baby kangaroo too which I didn't notice last time I came. Many it was just newly "Imported" from Australia :)

One thing I dislike about the Taiping Zoo was the tram that run in the same track as walking path, so we have to always watch out for the kids to avoid the tram and it's really disturbing....

First home cooked lunch

KS finally get over her jetlag after a week's time. She was waking us up in middle of the night asking us to played with her. She just cant sleep back. Luckily now she was adjusted to US time now and I felt a bit released. So yesterday, I decided to cook for the first lunch in US after 1.5 weeks here...a bit bored of the food here already, don't know what to eat. Also their portion is so big and most of the time i found myself over eating it..(my belly was getting bigger just after 1 week time....) Just a very simple one because i dont have much time since the mover was going to deliver our stuff to us at 10am. The 2 dishes were the fried eggs with sweet onion (onion here is big and sweet) and the herbal chicken soup, which i brought the herbs from Penang. I think it was not too bad but my husband said it was good..haha..maybe after too much outside western food, he appreciated more my cooking :)

Playing in the park

Last saturday, we brought our daughter to the Youth Park in Penang. She starts with a small slide play and then moving to the other bigger and higher slide. I keep taking her photo and her father busy running here and there taking care of her :) but it was really really fun...

She enjoys playing with the ball that is not belong to her. She was trying to make new friends so that she can "borrowed" their ball to play, smart, right? ^-^

Gone with the win

Recently I bought my daughter a battery operated bubble gun. When pressed, the colorful bubble will form and come out from the gun. It was so fun seeing her runnig after the bubble, wanted to touch it. And she also amazed when the bubble gone with the win.
I also love watching the bubble flying off with the win. This is because it gaves me the feeling that all my sadness and trouble will gone with the win too. When we grew up, we tend to have tons of challenges in life. More and more thing for us to worry about and we don't get to be happy most of the time. Indeed, playing with my daughter brings me a lots of happiness and i thank her for that! :)

Happy Anniversary...

Yesterday, 7th July was our wedding anniversay, i just remember it a day before when i saw the status in my facebook :)
But JJ remember it and he took a day off to celebrate with me, thanks honey!

Overall the celebration was great except with were not able to play bowling due to too many people queing up. We went to watch "knight and day", it was funny movie and tom cruise was so so handsome...he has got such an attractive eyes...hehehe..after so many years, i still like him so much :) We have dinner at Victoria station where I order my favorite VS cut Ribeye steak...yummy...and JJ order his usual dish, the mix grilled, all in one :)

Time flies, we have been married for 3 years. During this period of time, we have lots of good memory as well as bad quarrel and fight. This is part of the life and the journey continues...with added new member into our life :)

Family trip to Muar

We went to Muar, my sister's house last friday for a short 4 days trip. This is the first time Kai Shuen on long distance's trip. At first, we were a bit worry cause not sure if she would like to sit on her car seat for long period of time or not. It turns up to be just find, she sit on her car seat and sleep when she get tired. Sometimes i thing she also sit until back pain d, so she make noise a bit and I have to bring her up and carry her with me, no big deal. It was consider a smooth journey except the part where she "pang sai"in the car...and somemore i was not aware. By the time i aware, it has been already worst, hard to clean d...pitty her also have to sit with her shit for dunno how long d :-( other than that, everything seems to be ok, but i am glad that my family were there together with me, they helps a lots in taking care of her, release my tension :)
Overall, it was a great trip and thanks to my borther-in-law for the hospitality and treat us a lot of good food. Muar Otak-otak (the fried type) is the BEST, yummy yummy!

I feel motivated

Over the past 1 year time, i feel like life has less meaningful. Everyday when i wake up to work, i feel no motivation and always query myself what is my life for. This feeling has changed after having Kai Shuen. Even though i was tiring taking care of her, but i feel so satisfied and motivated each day. I dont know exactly why but i guess it is beacuase now that there is a small life depending on me, i have the responsibility and i became more strong :)

Taking care and playing with her is so much fun, especially now that she know how to smile back when i do the "ang gu gu" on her, she is such a clever gal, learn to smile and play ang gu gu in less than 1.5month times :)

Never thought that i could be so patient taking care of baby, but i did it, guess it is a mother nature. I must say great job to myself :)

A special birthday

This year birthday was a very special one to me. Even though i knew that birthday is also called 母难日，but i never really understand the meaning of it deep dwon in my heart. But this year is a special one for me because i had become a mother, i know how it feel to carry a baby inside you for 9 months and how excited and yet scary experinece of delivery to a child. So, i can really appreciate the real meaning of birth date - It was not about me or celebrating it with family or fren, but it is truely a thankful day, a day that u should say thank to your mum for giving you a life while risking her's.
I called my mum this morning to say thank to her and while i was saying so, my tear dropped, i dont know why...but i feel really great about it. I knew she will be very happy to hear what i had said too...just hope that it is not too late :)
For my future birthday, i shall continue to say thanks to her and be toghether with her - THANKS MOM!!!

A Special families gathering

Yesterday was a memorable day. It was my 3rd aunty's smallest son wedding dinner and almost all relatives were attending. Her daughther from canada, her eldest son from singapore, her second son from HOng kong all came back to have this family reunion. SHe was so happy and after a bit of drink, start to dance on the floor...see how enjoy she was :)

My 2 sisters also came back from far, Sarawak and Muar to celebrate together this special event. Everyone is busy taking photo...See my dad in pick shirt and his twin brother on the right, arent they look identical? :)

And we just discover that my pretty nice was such a good singer and she had got the style ler...like a little super start :)

It was really a meaningful and fun reunion which will surely remembered by all of us forever :)

Happy Mother's Day

This year we celebrate Mother's Day a bit differently by having lunch at home and we cook for mum instead of eating out. Not really because of economy slowdown but mainly due to my father is not that convenience to walk. 2 main cook for today is me and my sister-in-law. Haha, but actually i only prepare my favorite dish-Tomyam BeeHoon and i bought Pizza Hut as mum like it. My sister-in-law is a better cook than me, she cooked poh pian, jelly and "Tong Sui" as well as bought a Hazelnut coffee cake. Although it seem not much variety but it is more than enough for 8 of us. First time i hear JJ say enough and reject to take the jelly anymore, haha...he seldom say no to food :P

We had enjoyed a great moment eating lunch together at home but the most important thing is not about celebrating Mother's Day but to love our mom and treat her well every single day :)

0810 instead of 0880

It was so close...came out third price at 3D+1D, 0810...missed by a little but that still mean i dint win any money :( too bad.
What to do, if it is not your money, it is not.....ANyway, i am happy with the new car and was driving comfortably to work today :)
Right now the Fuel consuming is around 0.16, I hope it will get improve once we had our first and second service. I still have a little problem when parking my car because i cant really see the front of my car...haha..but will get use to it soon :)

Valentine's Day celebration

How is your Valentine's Day celebration?
Me and JJ went to stay a night at Rasa Sayang at Ferringgi Beach. It is a free night he got from staying at shangri-la hotel during his business trip to China.
We meet many Inteller there as all of them also redeeming their free night :) haha...is like a Intel team building or gathering...
This is the second time we stay there but this time i didnt swim. Instead, i was enjoying the cold breeze and listening to the sound of wave while reading books...what a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Half way reading, i felt in sleep, hahaha...
At night, we have our dinner at Bella Italia. We are luck as we went earlier, so we received fast service and finished our dinner in about 1 hour's time. The rest of the customers were waiting very long time. The food is quite good but it was expensive since it is a special occasion.

Anyway, i did enjoy the day with my hubby, how about you?

Our New Car

Finally we have decided to buy the new car after thinking for so long. I like Suzuki SX4 hatchback a lot but the bonet is quite small and it is a bit bumpy when driving. Both are 1.6CC but SX4 sedan is more practical as it has huge bonet and the driving experience is more smooth. It is also quite tall, taller about 7-8 cm compare to City and Vios (i like tall car :)). And the most importantly , it got discount of 10K ler...so attractive and worth it with the spec that it offered. :)

However, there isnt much color choice, only black and silver. Black is nice but again for practical reason, we have bought silver one.
One good thing is that this car belongs to JJ, so next time i still can choose my own dream car. When that times come, i dont have to worry if it is practical for family or not liau, kekeke...:)

My cute little nephew and niece

I have total of 5 nephews and 5 nieces from my sisters and brother. All of them are very pretty and handsome but there is this 2 little cutties who really captured my heart.
One is my bigger sisiter's son, Jackson and they other is my second sister's daugther, Yue Xin.
The way they talk and act is really unpredictable and always make me laugh none stop especially Yue Xin. When i ask her who is the prettiest? I expect her to say "me" but instead, she answer "you", haha...melt my heart nia :)

Finally..Dad has discharged

Around 10.30am, mum called up and told me that doctor has allowed to let dad discharged. Good news, so i rushed to hospital immediately as I was hoping that i can settle his bill and bring him back home by 12noon so that i can still have time to attend Jessie's registration at penang moral uplifting center. Mana tau, the nurse say not so soon, need to wait until 1pm maybe can settle...celaka...want to pay also need to wait so long, what the h@#$... What to do, have to wait lor..too bad I cant make it to Jessie's ROM, so sorry ya :)

About 12.30pm, my brother reached hostpital, so we decided to go parallel. Me and JJ will bring father back first while he will stay at hospital waiting to pay the bill.

It is quite difficult to get my dad into the car as his leg cannot bent. We spent a few minutes and finally we had successfully get him in and reached home safely. See his giant leg rap with some supportive material...dont worry, dad, you will get well real soon :)

Felt so relief

Finally my dad went through the operation and things went well. He went to the operation theatre around 11am and came out at about 2.30pm. The operation was succesful and he dint felt any dizzy or nausea. Me and my mum were taking care of him until about 6pm. After a nap, he wke up at around 5pm and was able to tell us how he witness the operation at the monitor screen in the operation theatre since he was just numb for lower body. He was so brave, I dont think I would dare to see the operation of my own leg..aiks....

Anyway, thank god that the operation went smoothly and everything seem fine now. I felt so relief and shall be back to work tomorrow :)

Bad New

My father met an accident yesterday. He was okay but his left leg bone was broken. He need to go through the operation to insert a special metal to support the broken bone. The metal need to be ordered and can only reached the hospital on tuesday as monday is holiday :(
Anyway, luckily he is okay as no other major injured except the broken bone. However he is still pretty sad as he may not be able to move freely for the next few months and to fully recovered, according to the doctor will need about 6 months.
He just had 2 operation this year and this will be the third time, poor dad! :( Everyone in my family were worried about him and hope he will get well soon.
We all thinking of no more motorbyte for you, Dad! We will buy you a car after you recovered...get well soon and dont worry so much! :)
