51st Merdeka Day

Did you ever joined any Merdeka countdown before? Hmmm...frankly speaking i never :)
Think of the traffic congestion, sien d lar...
I watched the live from dataran merdeka through RTM1 for about 5min, noticed audience were majority Malay, hehe guess those chinese are as lazy as me who rather prefer to watch live at home :P
But sad to say that there is still some naive politician mention about Chinese are squatters in Malaysia...and then Bodowi just say that this politician doesnt mean to be racist or trying to spoilt the harmony between races...HAHA..if it is Chinese politician who say something about Malay, he might be given warning or request to say sorry already...but for this case, Bodowi say he will "remind" him not to say so again....Bullsh@#...

Interesting training - Managing within the Law

Today I attended the training in Agilent called Managing within the law. This subjet sounds boring isn't it? However it turned up to be an exciting and informative class.

Some of the things that i had learned and felt interested to share are as below :
1. Do you know that according to labour act 1955, employer must provide a minimum of 10 days holiday per year to their employee? 4 are the fix holidays namely National Holiday, Agung's birthday, Labour day and state sultan/authoritise birthday.
2. Do you know that employer can terminate an employee if he/she didn't turned up to work 2 days consecutively without notification?
3. Do you know that a drug addict cannot be charged under misconduct and hence cannot be terminated by employer?
4. Do you know that if you are on MC but you are caught of being shopping/watching movie/playing games and so on can cause you to a termination?

Interesting, isn't it? :)

Today is holiday for Penang but not Agilent...

This day has finally came! 26th August-Permatang Pauh by-election! Well, a lot of my colleague was surpirsed to see me in work as they thought I am one of the voters but in fact i am not. I vote for Bagan area. To bad, if not i will be entitle for one day off :) Even though our CM announce that today is public holiday for Penang, but Agilent declared it as not but if you are hte voters then you entitle for full time off...i guess this is fair enough..

Still waiting for the result, but i am quite confidence that Anwar will win!

Cancer-the most terrifying disease

I just get to know that a fren of mine, her mother was on radiotheraphy due to breast cancer. Due to this, she has to always take leave and bring her mother for theraphy. I guess she must be very sad and tired but luckily she seems to be strong.
This make me recall that one of my auntie also died of breast cancer. She was consider lucky as after she gone through the theraphy she become well and live for another 7/8 years. However the cancer cell strike once again and this time she lost to the death evil.

Our own health have to be taken care by our own and dont wait until it is too late then only regret...saying that, I am starting to control my diet, as i have gastric problem. I loves to eat spicy, sour and fried food, but now i really need to reduce eating those foods because i want to prevent my gastric problem from getting worst.

Get Well Soon Dad!

My father has discharged this afternoon. For some of you who were asking about him, thanks for your concern and he is doing okay now. He will only need to go back for check up next wednesday.
However, it is bit difficult for him to move around and sleep because there is a pack connecting to his urinal tiub. Anyway, it is consider lucky already as it was not problem with the prostate. He used to have high PSA (Prostate specific antigen) but this round the level is low and thus the chance to get prostate cancel is low.

Get well soon Dad, love you!

Human are always greedy

If you had read my blog last week about Agilent stock went up, you will probably understand why i am regretting now.
The Agilent stock price today is 34.63 down by about 2.4 dollar after the quarterly anouncement :(
Oh...MAN! I plan to sell my stock at USD37 but when i saw it in the up trend, I became greedy and i decided to increase the limit to 37.5, so finally i couldn't sell my stock lor, and now it went down to 34.63, wah...so sad :(

The moral of the story is : Dont be Greedy, set a target and then sell :)

LWE Story- PART II

Today i bring my father to LWE to do the operation. I tried so hard to wake up very early in the morning worried about traffic jam and that i couldn't reached the hospital on time,8.30am(The nurse reminded my father to come before this time..)
Fortunately, no serious jam and we reached LWE at 8am, straight to the admission counter. Then what happen?...of course started the waiting process lar...we wait there for around 15min then the poeple queing in front of me approcah the old chinese lady happily thought that it is finally his turn...mana tau, she told that person that-okay, u passed me the form, then you wait for me to call you lar..." Wahlau eh.. that person was so angry as he has waited for so long and finally thought that his turn has came but mana tau it is just the beginning of another round of waiting?? I was so unhappy also as there is no sign there informing customer that we need to pass up the form nor got any ticketing system in their admission counter....End up, we waited for 1 hour to complete the admission process :(

I really beh tahan d, so i search for the suggestion box and wrote a long complains at the form and submitted it with my name and HP number. If it is a good hospital that wanted to improve their services, the least they could do is to call me up, other wise, i dont think i will come here again next time...

But so unfortunately that the doctor was having an emergency case and he had went in for the operation room for about 6 hr untill now....It is around 4pm now and my father is still waiting for his turn :(

One thing good is, they have free WIFI, so i am able to work from LWE and writing blog.....I wonder how long more we will have to wait, my dad has fasting for >10 hr, kesian him :(

How to spot a fake LV bag

That day when i was chatting with a collegue, she say that she dont dare to buy the fake branded bags because there might be those expert that can spot the fake bags easily, even though we cant.
This make me feel interested to know more about this and thus i have do some research in the web. Below are some of the easy remember tips on how to identiy fake LV bags to share with LV lovers.

Know its Monogram placement: Louis Vuitton is very careful about the way that the monogram is placed on any piece. The actual LV monogram is usually (with the exception of some vintage pieces) symetrical from side to side in all monogram styles (traditional, Multicolore, Cerises, Mini mono, Vernis etc.) as you can see in this Louis Vuitton Speedy (notice where the LVs are in relation to the handles, sides, quatrefoils etc)...

Watch the stitching: Louis Vuitton is very careful with it's stitching. Stitching should be very even and regular. The same number of stitches will be found in similar locations on similar bags... for example the leather tab that the handle attaches onto on any size monogram Speedy bag will always have 5 regular, even stitches across the top, like in the left

What about the "Upside Down LVs"? Some styles of authentic Louis Vuitton WILL have "upside down" LVs on the backside. The reason for this is that Louis Vuitton uses one continuous piece of leather that wraps around from the front to back, without a seam on the bottom- and so, the backside has upside down logos. This is true on the Speedy styles (except French Company Speedys), the Keepalls, Papillons, and some similar styles. Most monogram pieces (any piece with a separate piece of canvas or leather on the bottom) will have the LVs rightside up on both sides.

Well there is more ways to spot a fake LV bags but i just list down what i thought is the top 3
most easier remember and useful tips. If you interested to learn more, do visit below website:
http://reviews.ebay.com/Louis-Vuitton-Is-This-Authentic-Part-_W0QQugidZ10000000000021258

And to make sure you buy a real LV bags and to prevent from been cheated, just make sure you remember these 3 things:
Louis Vuitton does not discount.
Louis Vuitton does not have outlets, or seconds or irregulars.
Louis Vuitton does not wholesale.

Have you ever satisfy with hospitals' services?

This morning I thought I can just take half a day leave to bring my father to see the Uronologist at LWEH, but you know what, it end up we finished all the checking by 5.15pm only, what the H@#%... :(
Who say the private hospital is more effiecient than general hospital? After my experience with both the private and general hospital, i think they are the same, so why should we pay them more?? While i was waiting, i overheard the conversation of an auntie sitting beside me. She also thought that the service in private hospital is the same as in GH...Quote from her " Not only the patient will get more sick for being waitted too long, the person who accompany the patient will also get sick lor..." Which i think it is quite true...
For example, my father got the number 3006 for the X-Ray and at that time we notice the number showing in the display was already 3005, so we thought it will be very fast, so we wait and wait....and wait...30min passed, the other number like 1XXX, 2XXX for other rooms was calling very fast, what happen to this 3XXX number? Is that something wrong? So i decided to go find out...I wait at the counter, let the lady finished talking to other patient, then i asked her, "Hello miss, i notice that the number is stop calling for 30 min already, is this normal or something happen?" and i was expecting some good answer lar since this is private hospital wat, we pay more to them, right? But to my dissapointment, she just say you wait lar for the call, then she try to avoid me and talk to other staff and turn her back to me....i was not satisfy at all on her answer and i stand there for another 2 min...she dint turn to me, so i called her again, i asked again why it took so long? Then she answer me just very short - maybe got case...
OKay, i gave up...i returned to my father and we continue to wait and finally after around 50min only my father's number was been called :(
Imaging the frustration me and my father had at that time, dont you think this can reduce our immunse system and so be more prompt to attack by the bateria and viruses around us?

Suddenly i have a wish - I wish the service attitude and efficiency of Malaysia hospital, Government department, restaurant...and lots more...will become "best in class" ONE day....

Some Tips at Workplace

Have your ever face the senario where your boss :
- Very frequent agree with you on something but then later change his/her mind?
- Try to keep quite or push away the responsibility when the plan or decision that he agree
with you got rejected by his boss?
- Though you are superman that can focus everything at the same time without any prioritization?
- Keep on forgetting about the agreement or decision that have been made earlier, then ask you thousand of time?

Does all this sound familiar to you?
Congrats if it doesnt sound familiar to you, but for those who feel the same as i do, pls dont feel sad too....because this is just the norm of working life...

The senario became more worst if you have subordinate reporting to you. While you are trying to provide the best support to your peolpe, you couldn't get the same commitment from your boss....

One may choose to leave this type of boss but other may choose to "align" with his boss. Whatever it is, there is no right or wrong, but it is just what your choice are that could make you feel happy in your workplace.

With my character, i guess it is hard for me to be happy by choosing the 2nd option but fortunately I'm always the lucky one :)

Gathering At My House...

This afternoon, my friends came to my hosue to have a small gathering...We chat while eating and jokes around. Really fun to gather once a while. The most interesting about old friends are - even though we seldom meet each other, but when we gather, we still got some many topics to talk about :)
And the topics may change from times to times, last time we talk more about work, then about who's boy friends...now talking about children and family...

To me, although family is the most important part of our life but without friends, life won't be perfect and complete...

友谊万岁!!

Life can be more meaningful...

Sometimes when we face challenges in life, we think that we are miserable, unfortunate and felt that people around us are more 幸福 then us..... Does it true?
I don't think so, because when we are weak emotionally, we keep comparing ourselves to friend around us and thought that they live a better life then ourselves. However i think this is not true as everyone has their own problem and poeple dint normally share their problem to other easily. So from the outside, you may think that he or she is living a better life then yourself...
But what if you compare yourself to those unfortunate people in poor country?
Their main objective in life is purely to make sure they continue to survive in this world by fighting for food...Aren't anyone of us are more 幸福 then them?
So,Cheer up! Move forward your life with courage and support from your family and friend who loves you... :)

Merdeka Day

This morning i heard from My FM that this year Merdeka day celebration was very quiet. Not much activities and dont see many people hanging up the flag. This is quite through cause i dont see supermarket doing big sales for merdeka day also...hahaha... that is the thing i always looking for :)
Well, event thought there is countdown or celebration, most of the people also prefer to stay at home, u like those youngster lar, of course :) ......I guess the most important thing that hinder me from attending those event are difficult to find car park and jam. If there is a better transportation alternative like LRT and special buses, i guess i might be joining some of these event, especially the count down and watching fireworks...

What say u?

Poh Piah Making...

Yesterday afternoon me, MK and LL were making our own POh Piah...yummy yummy, it is very delicious :) although it is our first time......

The process is pretty simple, first you got to cut the "Mengkuang" and carrot into tiny slices, plus some mushroom...then cook them with small prawn together.

Make sure you add in enough sugar, salt and pepper to make it taste good.
One more tip is that pls make sure you squeeze the water out from the mengkuang prior to cooking.

Then Rap the Poh Piah using the special Poh Piah rapper into the size that you want. Guess whois hand is that...:)

After rapping, it is ready to be send for cooking!

Cook it until golden colour. Make sure it is a little bit dark so that it taste more crispy (my mum remind me a few times about it...)

Finally...it is ready to be surved...

Great job gals! :)
