Wonder why i wish all of you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year so earlier? That is because i am going to Japan this Sunday, yeah!!!
The long awaiting time has finally come, my another dream is coming true soon. But I am a little bit worry because it was not snowing yet and a lot of resort is not able to open due to that reasons. I need to pray hard for the snowing, otherwise my objective of skiing will not be fulfilled :)
Anyway, i am really excited now and doing last minute preparation before depart.
See you all when i am back to blog on probably 5th Jan, bye for now!

Genting Trip
The Genting trip last week was quite tiring but fun even though initially we have some quarrel with the owner of the rental apartment. It was very "noise" with all my nieces and nephew in one house. The children was really having fun playing all the outdoor and indoor games. Me and JJ dint join in but rather we shop around and was planning to go to the casino. You hear me right, I say "planning" because what happen was the guard don't allow us to get in to the casino because i have the shopping plastic bag with me. Strange, isnt it? So i further questioning her why i cant go in with my plastic bag, and she responded that the management dont want the casino looks like a shopping mall with all the plastic bags sh@#$%*... JJ was not happy with that and ends up we dont want to go in anymore :(
Anyway, another thing I wanted to mention here is that my niece is making the handphone cover for me and JJ. She also knits the scarf for her ah gong, ah mah using her holiday times...what a good gal. Thanks ya Vivian!

Still about the pay cut..
The 5% pay reduction is only applied to admins and operators, not as what i thought and mention in my previous blog. Anyway, a little good new is that we can take 2 days off every month as the compensation for the pay reduction (equal to 10% pay reduction). Even though some of us might still need to work during the off day as the work load has been kept increasing
:( but at least we can work from home and not full day lor, better than nothing.
I was trying to be positive by thinking that this might me a good chance for me to do my own stuff, to think of what i want to do in future, or to learn some new things to improve myself...or to do some partime job that might increased my salary to more than this 10%reduction...hahaha....Have to learn to think positive mah, isn't it?
开心是一天,不开心日子还是一样要过,不是吗?

The day has finally came..
I never thought that this day will come so soon, much sooner than what i expected. Pay cut of 10% for expert level and above or 5% for lower level employees. Since the no increment announcement, i was expecting that worst will come but i thought it could be happened in mid next year only. The bad new come sooner than i expected and it does surprised me. Of course i was sad and angry too. I think that the CEO is too much! Our company is still doing good and profitable, he shouldn't that this move now as one of the precaution. He can cut those temporary headcount first and continue with tight budget control and travel expenses cut, but he dint and he had choosen a move that will impact hundred thousand of peoples....Even though i am sad, but what can I do? :(

Engineer Vs Money
Recently we keep comparing how successful and rich those penangites are and most of them are none engineers. Examples a colleague's sister are so rich that she own a condo in the view as well as a corner house in SP setia project in bayan lepas area. Another eg, a friend's wife dance teacher, having a few dance center and other business and his husband is a qualified accountant but never work before. All this people are of course, not engineers :)
SO we make a conclusion that if you are rich, you are most probably not an engineer or if you are an engineer, you are most probably not rich :( and we better dont ask our children to take up engineering discipline...hahaha :)

Fun but tiring trip
We have plan for Ipoh trip quite some time ago and finally this day has came. We started our journey pretty earlier in the morning and reach ipoh around 9am for dim sum. As expected, the "Fu Shan" dim sum is full of people and we need to wait around 15min to get a table. I like their "chao lor bak gou" and the "cheong fun", other thing are just so so niah..After a very full breakfast we walk to the Yee Hup to buy the famous biscuit, "Hiang peng", then headed to Kellies Castle at batu gajah. Even though the entry ticket is RM4 but i dont think they maintain this historical building well. But overall it
is a good visit and we tooks many photo. We have 2 Nikon SLR in our group ler, dont play play ar :)After taking enough photo, we move to "Sam Poh Tong" and continue taking nice photo...hehe..
Again, the place is a bit run down and old. There is a tortoise pond at the end of the caves with a lot of tortoises and some of them are huge! See the photo on the left, they are eating papaya instead of the "Kang Kong". We spent quite some times taking its photo and watching them eating papaya until KS trigger us to leave :) haha, we all were fascinated by the tortoises..
After spending so much time visiting the tourism places, next stop of course is finding another good food. This time you decide to go back to Nibong tebal for the famous river prawn. We only have the restaurant phone number and were not sure where exactly it is located and what is its name. Anyway, thanks to Fai Fai, finally we have found the restaurant. Haha, it doesnt looks like a restaraunt at all but more like a store or minimarket from the outside. Luckily it was still open (i heard it closed as earlier as 5pm...) and we had finally tried its famous river prawn steam with garlic and ginger. However, i dont find it so special lor, it is just nice lar. I think it wont make me missed it. The dinner was not cheap though. 3 of us spend about RM110 with 1kg prawn, one red fish and 1 vege only. Anyway...it is always fantastic to go makan-makan at Ipoh.

Nail Art
I went to do my hair just now. Straighten, treament, colour and hi-light all in a time. It tooks me around 6 hours and RM400 but i think it worth the money :)While waiting for my hairdo, there is someone offer her service for manicure and pedicure. Since it is so cheap, RM20 for both hand and feet, i just try it out. See the photo on the left for the result. It maynot be very clear but you can be assured that it is quite nice and it tooks her 1.5 hours to complete it as she need to put in the little pearl one by one. :)
Some of you might be yelling why "SO CHEAP"! Hahaha...maybe that is due to no rental needed for shop lot plus, here is Butterwoth mah, not like in Penang Island :)

Invincible Bruce Lee
Recently me and JJ love to watch the Lee Xiao Long movie on everyday 8.30pm. The actors and actress acting skill are actually not so good and sometimes it is funny, despite of that, we still like to watch it. Maybe it is due to the high confidence and motivation that projector by Lee Xiao Long which attracted us. It seems like there is nothing in this world that could defeat him, from the challenge of the best martial art master to the injury that doctor say he will not be able to stand up and walk. However, he never give up and finally he is able to continue to practice his kung fu and create his own kung fu style. Hehe...even though this sounds unbeliveable but it give me a hope, that miracle could happen if you believe in it and never give up :)
Kudos Bruce Lee !!!

Surviving skill at workplace
Today i had learnt a very good lesson from a colleague of mine- surviving skill in corporate world. He is younger than me but he had gone through much more "tuff" experience than me. I am really thankful to have him around :)
I dont know how to share what we have discuss in my blog but i can summarised it here for all to cherrish :
Always find a backup to protect yourself when those things that management ask you to do (which you know that it is the worst decision they are making..) did not turn up to be as per their expectation. If not, it will come back to haunt you. Most of the time managment have a bad memory (maybe because they are old d? :)), they might potentially forgot that the decision was make by them and tends to think that the executor (which is you...) should be of the blame.
Welcome to the cruel corporate world, believe it or not? Believe it!

Good emotional control
I'm very proud of myself today as i had managed to control my anger. I was so pissed on some issue and was about to write a bad email response. After i had finished writing, i take a a few deep breath and finally i deleted those anger lines before i sent out the email.
What an achievement for the day...hahaha...does it sound too much? Well, i guess i had learn to be happy even with a small thing :P
Learn to enlarge the happiness from a tiny little thing really make me feel good, so i had decided to practice it more.
Be happy always ~ my motto of life
