I am gaining too much weight d :(

Today went for checkup. Found out that i gained 5 kg for the passed 5 weeks...my goodness, 1 kg per week, that is too much! But i don't think i eat a lot, so i asked doctor what should I eat and what shouldn't I. He advise me not to eat too much durian and grape. My gosh, after hearing it i know what i had did wrongly. I ate so much durian within this few months, cant help cause craving for it :). I also eat quite some grapes because i tot it is good fruit and i like it. So now i know what is the 2 BIG no no for my dietary...Also, he ask me not to eat to salty or sweet...again, i don't recall i eat to much of these 2 item. Then he say some of the soup can be highly salty. Again, now i know why d, because i like to drink soup especially those tomyam soup lar, noddle's soup lar... So, starting from today, i must change my eating habit liau, what to do, for the sake of the baby and me :)

My baby is rolling :)

My baby is about 26weeks++ now and she is really getting aggressive. She is rolling inside me :)
It is most obvious when i lay down flat on the bed, as she tends to roll from right to left making a big wave on my stomach. What a wonderful and amazing feeling isn't it? Hmm...maybe i should recorded it down...but most of the time she is shy. Whenever i ask JJ to look at her movement, she will keep quiet and when JJ is not watching, she will start to be active again...hehehe...

Another surprise from our Gov

We normally dont go to gov clinic when we fall sick or for normal pregnancy checkup. But today i decided to pay a visit to the klinik kesihatan Sg Dua as it seems to be a big clinic.
As we just about to enter the clinic door, we was welcome by the nurse sitting outside taking the body temperature of the visitors. I was surprised that she asked me if I went checkup with other clinic earlier cause she say she never see me before. This make me feel that they are very friendly and familiar with their frequent users. Very good first impression i have on them. :-)

Initially the nurse was a bit reluctant to register me because i use to go checkup in private hospital but i try to persuade her by mentioning many benefit i can get from checking in gov clinic. Finally she is ok to register me but ask me not to go back to checkup in private hospital anymore.

So, why i like the service so much? The nurse started by asking me my health background follow by measuring my height, weight, blood pressure then urine, hemoglobin level and blood test (to find out the blood group and check for HIV which my doctor in private hospital dint check for that:-( ) Then the nurse check my baby's heartbeat, measure her length, see if my foot was swollen and somemore check for any breast abnormalies. After that, she advise me what to eat for a balance diet and finally ask me to go for ATT vaccination. According to her, once we notice the movement of the baby, we can take this vaccination already and for the first baby, usually they will give 2 doses and for the subsequent baby, only one shot is needed.

After all this, i went to see the doctor where the ultrasound scan is done and the doctor measure the length and weight of my baby (again, this is something my doctor didn't do for me :( )
Since my mother have diabetes and my weight gain is too much at this stage, the doctor recommend me to come back 2 days later to do a blood sugar test and she will review the result with me 2 weeks after that plus i have to come back to check my blood pressure every 2 weeks to make sure it is in normal level....Wow...so details isn't it? And i get all this FREE :)

Last time, people use to told me that doing checkup in gov hospital has its disadvantages. To name a few here, they don't have the ultrasound scanner, there is no doctor attended to you....but i guess it is no longer true or maybe some clinic have it and some don't?

Overall i think staying in Malay residential area got its advantage and this is one of them (having better equipped clinic). The other is - you can simply park your car at he roadside while enjoying your meal at the restaurant beside the main road without the fear of getting saman :)

First time feeling of getting benefit from Gov

After years of paying tax to Gov, today i suddenly feel that i gain benefit from it. :)
Hmm..wonder why i feel so? Here is the story.....I attended a Positive Parenting seminar organized by Malaysian Paediatric Association for free at Gurney Hotel. It was a good session whereby we got the chance to hear from 3 doctors on 3 different topics that is - Risk of pregnancy, vaccination for baby and childhood character development.
Apart from the free info, for those who answer the quiz correctly, they can get the books called health eatery guide and there is lucky draw hamper as well. Not to forget the door gift that is the free booklet and free samples from supplier...and the most importantly, the free food at the end of the seminar :) I guess this is the first time i enjoyed the benefit from Gov organized event and we should have the privilege to enjoying it more....
See what we get? the book for anwering the quiz correctly and the hamper as well apart from those door give and info...hahaha, what a lucky day for me and JJ :)

Crucial Conversation

Last week i attended a 2-days course called "Crucial Conversation" founded by Vital Smarts. I thought it was pretty good and i thus would like to share with all here.
It was a course whereby it talks about the needs for 2 individual to get into crucial conversation when the stake is high and how to spot them, how to start the CC, what is the method and so on.

There is one teaching in this course that shifted my mindset which is what i am going to elaborate here. It says something like this "there is no one in this world that can make you mad, it is the way how you interpret the message that did". Think about it, how true is it, isn't it?

We always say that this person, that person is so irritating...but then he still got people like him, he got his beloved wife, family, or friends also. Why don't they also think he is irritating?
IF we shifted our mindset a little bit and always interpret his message a little bit possitively, then you might find that he is not so annoying anyway :)
Well it is always easy to say then do but i think if we can try to practice it frequnetly, we might not get emotianol or get upset by other easily which really dont worth it!
