Are You Scolding Your Children Always?

Yesterday my neighbour scolding her kid again. Did I said again? Yes, that is because everytime i saw her, she is either scolding her kids or her kid is crying. She has 2 boys, one of 5 years old and the other is 3.5. I don't like seeing parents scolding their kids especially in the open public. However, sometimes children are really naughty. So if we dont scold them, but we want them to stop doing what they are doing at the moment, like climbing the chair, what can we do? One of the method i apply is to switch their attention. Try to say or do some other things that might interested them so that they may forget about climbing chair for example. I found that this method works most of the time! This will avoid us from scolding at them in front of the public and at the same time can prevent them from doing what they are currently doing which maybe dangerous.
